Psalm 18:41-49

New International Version

⁴¹ They cried for help, but there was no one to save them^(A)—
    to the Lord, but he did not answer.^(B)
42 I beat them as fine as windblown dust;^(C)
    I trampled them^[a] like mud in the streets.
⁴³ You have delivered me from the attacks of the people;
    you have made me the head of nations.^(D)
People I did not know^(E) now serve me,
⁴⁴     foreigners^(F) cower before me;
    as soon as they hear of me, they obey me.
⁴⁵ They all lose heart;^(G)
    they come trembling^(H) from their strongholds.^(I)

⁴⁶ The Lord lives!^(J) Praise be to my Rock!^(K)
    Exalted be God^(L) my Savior!^(M)
47 He is the God who avenges^(N) me,
    who subdues nations^(O) under me,
⁴⁸     who saves^(P) me from my enemies.^(Q)
You exalted me above my foes;
    from a violent man^(R) you rescued me.
⁴⁹ Therefore I will praise you, Lord, among the nations;^(S)
    I will sing^(T) the praises of your name.^(U)
